How to Use Netflix Party?

Lets you and your friends watch a movie at the same time through your individual accounts. It even gives us an option to chat using a chatroom bar, down the screen while watching the movie online with your friends. 

It’s actually effortless to get Netflix Party. The first thing we needed to do is go to netflixparty.com and there will be a link in the description. Unfortunately, this is only available for the google chrome browser on desktop or laptop computers, but it will be rolled out to more platforms in the future. 

What we need to do is go ahead and click on get a Netflix party for free and once you’ve clicked on the button, it will take you to the google chrome extension store. There we need to click on add to chrome and then click on add extension. Once the extension has been added, you can notice that the little NP symbol will appear in the top right-hand corner. And this basically means it’s been successfully installed on your browser. So what needs to be done next is, to go to netflix.com and sign in to your account. Once you’ve done this you’ll want to go ahead and select a movie you want to watch with your family or friends.

Once the movie has been fully loaded up, this is the part where you’re going to create the party so everyone can watch the film at the same time. 

To do this, you want to click on the icon we just installed earlier and you notice that it’s now red. Once you’ve clicked on it it’s going to give you a little control panel and it’s very simple. You can select whether you only have control over the movie, and once you’ve decided, you want to click on start the party. 

Now in order to get people to join the party, you need to copy the URL link and send it to other people. Now remind them that they need to be in the same position as you. That is, they need to have the google chrome browser with the extension installed on their PC. 

So once the party has started you notice that your chat bar has appeared just to the right where you can go ahead and send messages to each other in real-time just as you can with a live stream. You can also get the party link with this icon at the top here and you can also change your profile settings like your nickname and your profile icon. 

When someone joins your party it will come up in the chat bar here and you can go ahead and start the movie in real-time. If you want to disconnect from the party or close the party, you’ll want to go ahead and click on the icon in the top right and click on disconnect and your Netflix should be reverted back to the default view as if you are just watching a movie on your own. And that is how you use Netflix party in your Windows or Android computer and other systems using the google chrome extension.
