iPhone 15: Price, Release Date, Rumours, Specs

iPhone 15: Price, Release Date, Rumours, Specs, and Latest News

Though the iOS iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro List launched very recently, many rumors are going around for the next iteration: the iPhone 15. It’s still very early, as we expect these devices to drop in the fall of 2023, but the rumor continues.

Of course, remember that anything we know is just the prediction from rumors and further media reports — nothing has been finalized yet. It likely won’t be through until we get closer to September’s regular new iPhone season. While you may be (justifiedly) skeptical of some things, these rumors help indicate the direction Apple will likely take for the next iPhone.

iPhone 15 Models

Though iOS debuted the iPhone mini with the iPhone 12 listing and remained with the series of iPhone 13, the mini was older once the iPhone 14 got launched. It was replaced with the bigger iPhone 14 Plus, which progressed from a 5.4-inch display to a giant 6.7-inch screen (like the iPhone 14 Pro Max), with the level of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro continuing at the 6.1-inch display from earlier series.

It is predicted that iOS will extend this with iPhone 15, listing aspects of an iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro should also have a 6.1-inch screen. In contrast, iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max have a 6.7-inch screen.

However, the name of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may be different. Rumors are transmitted that “Pro Max” may be displaced with the “Ultra” by name, similar to the iOS Watch Ultra.

iPhone 15 Design and Sizes

Those waiting for the iPhone to undergo a radical redesign may end up dissatisfied, as the iPhone 15 may look like the iPhone 14. Moreover, while the Dynamic Island pill-and-hole cutout was absolute to the iPhone 14 Pro design, iOS might be enlarged to all iPhone 15 designs. If that’s the case, the iPhone 15 will be the first lineup to disqualify the mark.

As declared earlier, we should expect four series of iPhone 15 in a 6.1-inch display, iPhone 15 in a 6.7-inch display, iPhone 15 Plus in a 6.1-inch display, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra) in a 6.7-inch display.

The latest report advises that the iPhone 15 may restore the physical buttons with haptic, solid-state power, and volume buttons. This would work parallel to the iPhone 7 Home button. Instead of physically depressing when held, it would utilize haptic feedback to mimic how it would feel if you had control.

If the report about solid-state buttons is accurate, then it just needs 2 Taptic Engines on the right and left sides of the iPhone 15. Such a change would also influence case compatibility — even if the iPhone 15 series were the same category and thickness as the iPhone 14 (containing the camera bump), you would require a case that has open ingress to these haptic buttons at all times.

iPhone 15 Processor and Specs

The quality of the iPhone 15 may use the A16 current aspects in the iPhone 14 Pro, and the new A17 chip power is complete to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is the unique way iOS is converting between the quality and Pro series of the iPhone, which starts with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro lineup.

TSMC, the longtime supplier of iPhone chips, will use a 3nm system to power the A17 chip. This would make the A17 more systematic in power consumption and reduce the heat generated during utilization. The 3nm A17 chip power will also take a 15 percent boost in speed and power and 30 percent extra power savings over the current 5 nm chip power.

A different Report indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro could also boost in RAM, going from 6GB to 8GB. Storage capacity could also differ, though the baseline storage may depend on the aspects the iPhone 15 provides. Though the latest top-tier reserve is 1TB for the iPhone 14 Pro, the iPhone 15 Pro could be bounced to 2TB.

And though rumors were circulating that Apple could build its in-house modem chips, the efforts have yet to bear any output. iOS will likely still be using Qualcomm for modem chips in the iPhone 15.

iPhone 15 Cameras

On the camera front, we only know that iOS has been working on radar lens technology, which may only end up on the bigger iPhone 15 Pro Max model.

With a periscope lens, you could get an optical zoom behind what is latest provides, such as 5x or 10x optical zoom. The newest iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max only go up to 3x optical zoom, so having a periscope lens would significantly improve. Again, though, only the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max may get that periscope functionality.

There were early reports that the iPhone 15 would acquire an 8P camera, which refers to the number of sections within the lens material. Another aspect of the lens could help reduce distortion in the concluding image. Moreover, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, this does not seem to be happening — at least, not with the iPhone 15.

iPhone 15 Battery, Charging, and USB-C
iPhone 15 Battery, Charging, and USB-C

Recent European regulations mandate a standard charger for all electronics, including the iPhone, to diminish e-waste. The limit for iOS to switch over to USB-C and abolish Lightning would be by 2024. Apple could also get a head start by evolving the iPhone 15 above to USB-C in 2023. It’s enormous, given the regulation, but Apple could hold off until 2024 as well.

The switch to USB-C on the iPhone would bring iOS smartphone devices closer in line with the Macbook and iPad lineups, primarily using USB-C for a while. The most recent iPad 2022 just switched to USB-C, the endmost iPad series still using iOS’ exclusive Lightning power to charge the devices.

Additionally to the EU’s ruling, iOS analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also seems assured about the iPhone 15’s switch to USB-C, saying in the middle of November that his “latest observation indicates all 2H23 latest iPhones will discard Lightning and change to USB-C.”

What’s compulsive, via, is Kuo’s state that only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will provide welfare from rapid data transfer speeds with changes. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will have a USB-C charging port. However, they’ll still be restricted to the slower USB 2.0 transfer speeds directly available with Lightning.

iPhone 15 Release Date and Price

iPhone 15 Release Date and Price

We expect the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro to be declared sometime in September 2023, as long as iOS follows its routine iPhone begins to schedule. We can suitably presume that cost will be comparable to what we pronto have with the iPhone 14 lineup, which began at $799 for the iPhone 14, $899 for the iPhone 14 Plus, $999 for the iPhone 14 Pro, and $1,099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

While we’re hopeful that the cost stays the same, the latest leak claims that the iPhone 15 Ultra (the new name iOS is utilizing for the Pro Max series) will be $200 more costly than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is a drastic change, nearly a 20% increase, so the smartphone needs to sustain the cost with some launch and exciting features if Apple plans to raise the price.

It’s worth pointing out that there were some compelling rumors earlier this year that the iPhone 14 Pro would be getting a $100 price increase, which ultimately proved false. That’s all to say that the iPhone 15 could be seeing a boost, but take that rumor with a grain of salt.

Though many were expecting Apple to raise prices with the iPhone 14 models, that did not happen, at least in the U.S. So if all goes well, we should have the same prices for the iPhone 15 unless there are significant changes in the economy between now and next year.
